Description of the HSM ProfiPack 425 Cardboard Shredder
HSM is a leading manufacturer of shredders. While most of HSM’s shredders handle documents, the HSM ProfiPack 425 is a large cardboard shredder. Bigger than the HSM 400 cardboard shredder, the HSM 415 is a standalone unit with a driving power of near 4 HP (2.95 kW). Any shipping department can reap the benefits of a cardboard shredder. Styrofoam and other packing materials are costly and are damaging to the environment. Repurposing old cardboard that would otherwise be thrown away is an economical and green way to create packing material. The ProfiPack 425 makes strategic cuts throughout the cardboard, creating a stretchable netting that is flexible and incredibly shock absorbent. You can fold, wrap, or crumple the cardboard netting to fit packaging needs. The ProfiPack is compliant with national and international safety regulations.Because the 425 is larger than the 400, the 435 has a larger throat (16.7”), a faster shred speed (39 feet per minute), and a higher sheet capacity of 2-3 sheets (up to ¾”). It has a convenient standing height of 38” for ease of use. Because of its open ended throat, excess cardboard is cut off and can be shredded in a second pass. Control the shredder with the simple on/off switch with reverse function. Some shredders need rest in between shreds, but the ProfiPack can power through continuous shredding without rest. The thermal fuse helps prevent overheating for endless shredding. The hardened solid steel cutting rollers cut through 2 to 3 sheets and can withstand small metal items. The built in ruler makes it easy to measure card board width. Covered in sturdy sheet steel, the HSM 425 is an ideal addition to warehouses or shipping departments.
