Description of the HSM HDS 230-2 Hard Drive Shredder
The HD 230-2 is a hard shredder from HSM that delivers a powerful performance with high throughput. With a throughput of 2,500 items per hour, the 230-2 can take on continuous, manual feeding of hard drives, CDs/DVDs, credit cards, USB sticks, floppy disks, and magnetic tapes up to 3.5”. The multi functional operating and display element controls the shredder, also enabling continuous and reverse operation. Even with such a large shredder, shred waste is conveniently collected in a catch tray to make cleanup easier. Users do not have to worry about coming into contact with rogue debris. The intake tray (once item is placed) is pushed into the shredder and users are not exposed to the cutting head. And as long as users can manually feed the 230-2, it can keep shredding via Continuous Duty Operation.If a blockage occurs, the 230-2 HDS will automatically stop to prevent machine damage and reverse the cutting rollers to eject the item. Digital and magnetic media are no match for the 230-2 shredder. The shred particles meet requirements of Security levels O-3, T-3, E-2, and H-5. The HDS is energy efficient, able to deliver a powerful, continuous performance without slowing down. The HDS is also mobile thanks to its sturdy castors. The optional conveyor belt that discharges shred waste directly into dumpsters can be purchased. The HDS 230 is also available with different cut widths, as HDS 230-1 and HDS 230-3.
